Summary
RebalanceLiquidity is not called when the function repay is called
Vulnerability Details
The function repay allows a user to repay their debt shown here
* @notice Internal function to repay borrowed reserve assets
* @param amount The amount to repay
* @param onBehalfOf The address of the user whose debt is being repaid. If address(0), msg.sender's debt is repaid.
* @dev This function allows users to repay their own debt or the debt of another user.
* The caller (msg.sender) provides the funds for repayment in both cases.
* If onBehalfOf is set to address(0), the function defaults to repaying the caller's own debt.
*/
function _repay(uint256 amount, address onBehalfOf) internal {
if (amount == 0) revert InvalidAmount();
if (onBehalfOf == address(0)) revert AddressCannotBeZero();
UserData storage user = userData[onBehalfOf];
ReserveLibrary.updateReserveState(reserve, rateData);
uint256 userDebt = IDebtToken(reserve.reserveDebtTokenAddress).balanceOf(onBehalfOf);
uint256 userScaledDebt = userDebt.rayDiv(reserve.usageIndex);
uint256 actualRepayAmount = amount > userScaledDebt ? userScaledDebt : amount;
uint256 scaledAmount = actualRepayAmount.rayDiv(reserve.usageIndex);
(uint256 amountScaled, uint256 newTotalSupply, uint256 amountBurned, uint256 balanceIncrease) =
IDebtToken(reserve.reserveDebtTokenAddress).burn(onBehalfOf, amount, reserve.usageIndex);
IERC20(reserve.reserveAssetAddress).safeTransferFrom(msg.sender, reserve.reserveRTokenAddress, amountScaled);
reserve.totalUsage = newTotalSupply;
user.scaledDebtBalance -= amountBurned;
ReserveLibrary.updateInterestRatesAndLiquidity(reserve, rateData, amountScaled, 0);
emit Repay(msg.sender, onBehalfOf, actualRepayAmount);
}
However, unlike many other functions in the protocol, the function rebalanceLiquidity is not called even though the liquidity in the protocol has changed. Here is an example from the borrow function

and the deposit function
[link](https://github.com/Cyfrin/2025-02-raac/blob/89ccb062e2b175374d40d824263a4c0b601bcb7f/contracts/core/pools/LendingPool/LendingPool.sol#L232-L234)
The function rebalance liquidity is used to help balance the buffer ratio for the curve vault
https://github.com/Cyfrin/2025-02-raac/blob/89ccb062e2b175374d40d824263a4c0b601bcb7f/contracts/core/pools/LendingPool/LendingPool.sol#L769-L793
* @notice Rebalances liquidity between the buffer and the Curve vault to maintain the desired buffer ratio
*/
function _rebalanceLiquidity() internal {
if (address(curveVault) == address(0)) {
return;
}
uint256 totalDeposits = reserve.totalLiquidity;
uint256 desiredBuffer = totalDeposits.percentMul(liquidityBufferRatio);
uint256 currentBuffer = IERC20(reserve.reserveAssetAddress).balanceOf(reserve.reserveRTokenAddress);
if (currentBuffer > desiredBuffer) {
uint256 excess = currentBuffer - desiredBuffer;
_depositIntoVault(excess);
} else if (currentBuffer < desiredBuffer) {
uint256 shortage = desiredBuffer - currentBuffer;
_withdrawFromVault(shortage);
}
emit LiquidityRebalanced(currentBuffer, totalVaultDeposits);
}
We can see that in the function repay, the reserveAsset balance is changed, which also means that the current buffer has also changed, but the rebalance function is not called
Impact
With the rebalance function not called in the function repay, the protocol will not be able to maintain the desired buffer ratio for the curve vault
Tools Used
manual review
Recommendations
Call the function rebalanceliquidity in the function repay
