liquidations can be finalized through stabilityPool.liquidateBorrower.
https://github.com/Cyfrin/2025-02-raac/blob/main/contracts/core/pools/StabilityPool/StabilityPool.sol#L453
function liquidateBorrower(address userAddress) external onlyManagerOrOwner nonReentrant whenNotPaused {
@> uint256 userDebt = lendingPool.getUserDebt(userAddress);
@> uint256 scaledUserDebt = WadRayMath.rayMul(userDebt, lendingPool.getNormalizedDebt());
if (userDebt == 0) revert InvalidAmount();
uint256 crvUSDBalance = crvUSDToken.balanceOf(address(this));
if (crvUSDBalance < scaledUserDebt) revert InsufficientBalance();
bool approveSuccess = crvUSDToken.approve(address(lendingPool), scaledUserDebt);
if (!approveSuccess) revert ApprovalFailed();
lendingPool.finalizeLiquidation(userAddress);
emit BorrowerLiquidated(userAddress, scaledUserDebt);
}
The issue is that userDebt is being scaled twice to determine if the contract has enough balance to settle the debt. This is incorrect as lendingPool.getUserDebt(userAddress); has already return the
scaled debt of the user.
Impact
Erronous scaling would result to DoS of liquidation finalization
Recommendation
function liquidateBorrower(address userAddress) external onlyManagerOrOwner nonReentrant whenNotPaused {
// Get the user's debt from the LendingPool.
uint256 userDebt = lendingPool.getUserDebt(userAddress);
- uint256 scaledUserDebt = WadRayMath.rayMul(userDebt, lendingPool.getNormalizedDebt());
if (userDebt == 0) revert InvalidAmount();
uint256 crvUSDBalance = crvUSDToken.balanceOf(address(this));
- if (crvUSDBalance < scaledUserDebt) revert InsufficientBalance();
+ if (crvUSDBalance < userDebt) revert InsufficientBalance();
// Approve the LendingPool to transfer the debt amount
bool approveSuccess = crvUSDToken.approve(address(lendingPool), scaledUserDebt);
if (!approveSuccess) revert ApprovalFailed();
// Call finalizeLiquidation on LendingPool
lendingPool.finalizeLiquidation(userAddress);
emit BorrowerLiquidated(userAddress, scaledUserDebt);
}
