set_deadline Can Be Called Indefinitely (dealine_set Never Set)

Description

The set_deadline() function is intended to be callable exactly once per fund, enforced by a dealine_set boolean flag. The flag is checked at line 57 and reverts with DeadlineAlreadySet if true, but the flag is never assigned true anywhere in the function body. Consequently, dealine_set remains false forever, and set_deadline can be invoked any number of times by the creator, each time overwriting the previous deadline.

This defeats the time-lock guarantee that contributors rely on: a creator can initially set a far-future deadline, collect deposits, then reset it to the current timestamp (or 0) and drain the fund via withdraw() (see Finding 1).

(The field name dealine_set is a typo but used consistently, so the logic is unaffected by the spelling.)

Risk

Likelihood: Always. dealine_set is initialized to false at fund creation (line 20) and never transitions to true. Every call to set_deadline succeeds regardless of prior calls.

Impact: The deadline, a core invariant protecting contributor funds, can be arbitrarily rewritten. A creator can shift the deadline forward to prevent refunds or pull it backward to enable early withdrawal. Combined with Finding 1 (withdraw without success check), the creator can drain funds at any chosen moment.

Proof of Concept

The test creates a fund, calls set_deadline with a far-future value, then calls it again with a near-term value. Both succeed, and the on-chain fund.deadline field reflects the second value:

Recommended Mitigation

Add one line to set the flag after assigning the deadline:

This is a single-line fix. The dealine_set typo could also be corrected to deadline_set across the codebase (lines 20, 57, 190) but that change is cosmetic and does not affect security.
