configurePass resets passSupply to zero enabling unlimited pass overselling

Description

  • The configurePass() function allows the organizer to reconfigure pass parameters at any time. The issue is that it unconditionally resets passSupply[passId] = 0. This means already-sold passes are no longer tracked, allowing the pass to be oversold beyond its intended cap.

Risk

Likelihood:

  • Reason 1: The organizer can call configurePass() at any time. After passing the onlyOrganizer check, the supply reset is unconditional.

  • Reason 2: Combined with the maxSupply override, this allows bypassing the intended cap — an organizer could sell N passes, reconfigure with a larger maxSupply, and continue selling.Impact:

  • Impact 1: Pass supply caps are not enforced. The total number of passes in circulation can exceed maxSupply with no on-chain detection.

  • Impact 2: Pass holders have no guarantee of actual scarcity. An organizer can silently inflate the pass supply after it was supposedly sold out.
