Anyone can update someone else's referralInfoMap and manipulate anyone's referral earnings share.
SystemConfig::updateReferrerInfo allows a user to manipulate someone's referral earnings share by updating referralInfoMap and setting them as their own referrer.
Expected Scenario:
A user uses Wallet A and calls updateReferrerInfo with _referrer as their Wallet B.
Any further transactions by Wallet A will earn a bonus to Wallet B.
However, this code works something like this:
A user uses Wallet A and calls updateReferrerInfo with _referrer as their Wallet B.
Now user uses Wallet B, and gains a refund as referral bonus to Wallet B itself.
Likelihood: High
Impact: High - Anyone can be their own referrer by using a burner wallet only once.
Overall severity is High.
Manual Review
Update the msg.sender's referralInfo rather than of the _referrer.
Valid high severity. There are two impacts here due to the wrong setting of the `refferalInfoMap` mapping. 1. Wrong refferal info is always set, so the refferal will always be delegated to the refferer address instead of the caller 2. Anybody can arbitrarily change the referrer and referrer rate of any user, resulting in gaming of the refferal system I prefer #1500 description the most, be cause it seems to be the only issue although without a poc to fully describe all of the possible impacts
